FOOD FOR THE GROUND.

 
Lately my consciousness towards the essence of my existence heightened as the reality of fulfillment seems to be trapped within elements of confusion and uncertainty. Everything seems to point that the only way to be sane is to display madness, love cant thrive without hatred and there will always be pain regardless of the joy that comes after or before it. I tried to rationalize the reason for all this and sometimes i find succor in placing it as the signs of the end times but cant hold the conviction for a breath away before another evidently informs me that it has always been this way but manifests itself in different forms.

Prescription from the books of men are battling with that of the holy books, in your eyes you see even the clergy adopt heathen methods with the excuse of doing "Gods" work properly as seen in all religious doctrines. I was once amidst my Muslim friends who condemned a blasphemous act of a needy and greedy imam who  abandoned his praying mat to pursue a a passing philanthropist in order not to loose his chance of getting something. One, although in condemnation of the act joked that he must have thought that his prayers has been answered before his eyes so why not grab it? ...hmm!

People fail to realize their ambitions and give up their dreams usually because they spend much energy looking for complex solutions for basic problems. Concisely speaking here, it all starts with the the application of common sense and a proper understanding of how it is woven around what you believe in, it entails paying attention to the obvious and acting accordingly as led by the faith.

Life seems to be series of events guided by principles of logic and reasoning and we tend to contradict these facts with the teachings of faith.As it were,common sense is seeing things as they are and doing things as they ought to be while on the other hand faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.It is hereby important to decipher between when you should use your head and when you should apply your faith.if you rest the nozzle of a pistol on your head and pull the trigger,trust me the bullet will go in your head.

The rabbit hole goes very deep and only those who dare to look below the surface will have a  glimpse of how these two factors are related.We need to carry out proper study into the essence of existence and the intricacies of time and chance in our daily lives.We have been blessed with everything we need to be what we choose to become. Most of what is needed is Mastery of self and the Grace of God.

Did you like Goldie when she was alive ?

I was in the middle of a heated conversation with a friend of mine,we were arguing over some issues like the outcome will end the war between Israel and Palestine or convince the Rasta nation that marijuana could cause memory loss.My friend was enjoying her turn to speak when her mobile phone started ringing ,it didn't distract attention at all. she barely stopped arguing with me as she reached for her phone, she raised a finger and said to me; Excuse me. Hello babes"how far?as she was listening to the caller,i was going to use this break to churn points to counter her after she gets off the phone,Suddenly she screamed like "O my God !!!  and instantly burst into tears ,her face looked like her gall bladder has erupted.

Immediately i snapped out of my blissful strategies and wondered what evil news the caller delivered.Goldie Harvey, one of  Nigeria’s popular singers had died,My friend was close to falling down heavily;i had to lend her my feet as she couldn't stand anymore; she leaned on me for support,tears dripping from her eyes as she cried louder.i thought to myself,something terrible has hit the Nigerian entertainment industry again.WHAT!!! ,GOLDIE?...HOW?

Trust Nigerians,blackberry messenger updates and display pictures started flying around,everyone was surprisingly shocked and sad about her death and they wanted to know more about how she died and all.Many condolence messages started flying around,i was waiting for the usual BBM condolence register to be forwarded to me via broadcast with a possible header like "SAY NO TO UNTIMELY DEATH OF OUR ARTISTS".

 I wondered how twisted life could be when i compared how Goldie was accepted when she was alive and the sudden love she is getting now that she is no more. One my contacts sent me a message saying 'UNA DON KILL AM ABI? He must have been sad for the poor girl who was an easy target for destructive critics, her act and the originality of her talent was always questioned, the height of it came during and after the Big Brother Africa All Star game show where she was obviously attached to Prezzo, an ugly picture of her crying during her exit from the house was used as the image of her Legacy as far BBA was concerned.Even as she rests ,a blogger has reported that a woman named Ifeoma Harvey has accused Goldie of snatching her husband.Na wa o!

I respect Goldie of course not because she was the best singer or a great performer,neither am i fan of her looks or all she possessed.My admiration for Goldie lies in relentless nature to get what she wants against all odds, Goldie was not the most talented female pop singers in Nigeria but she successfully improved on her act with every material she dropped.
Any other person could have had the same opportunities she had and not make anything out of it,i personally started paying some attention to her at a time when she released 'You know it ft Eldee the Don. Her videos and lyrical contents became better from there until the last one before her demise titled Skibobo ft AY.

Goldie will be missed in the Nigerian entertainment industry,she is one of the very few female entertainers in the country who successfully  gained international relevance amongst  other commendable achievements.The magazines and other tabloids will miss her dazzling costumes and sexy photos,the news and rumors that seemed to always spread around her and every sensation associated with her brand.

The last official engagement she attended was the 55th Grammy Awards which held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California last weekend. She died shortly after she arrived in Nigeria from the US. According to a release signed by the CEO of Kennis Music, “Goldie, 31, died on Thursday after she complained of a severe headache shortly after her arrival from the United States where she went to witness the Grammy Award. She was rushed from her Park View, Ikoyi, Lagos residence to her official hospital, Reddington, Victoria Island, Lagos, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival at exactly 7:30pm in the evening”.

THE IDEOLOGY BEHIND THE EUPHORIC LOGO

A logo is very significant as to representing the image of any organisation.it is like the DNA of what the company stands for.The key elements of its establishment should be depicted in the design.Recently,fans have been requesting for the explanation of the Euphoric Heritage Company Limited Logo which of course has Euphoric Heritage Records as one of its tentacles.They want to know the significance of the image that forms the entire picture.

Being a record label,people expect to see the conventional features that appear on similar establishments   like a Treble Clef or banner or some kinda shield with designs formed from letters abbrevated from the full name of the establishment and more.but on the contrary what you see this ;(see picture below)

Now let me explain something.This image represents more than just the business that goes on in our establishment it rather represents the ideology that drives us to achieving whatever we embark on .The reason why we have been able to register ourself as one of the most promising entertainment establishment in a very short time is embedded in this logo and i crave your indulgence to follow as i take you  through this.

The yellow circle that stands behind the smaller red one represents the light of the moon while the red one represents the sun,inset is a star and above all 3 layers is the image an eagle in its full hunting glory; wings spread out wide and the talons pierce out, ready to grab its prey.

Now all the images represents the natural sources of the light of GOD at all times and conditions of the day and night.i.e ,the Sun,the Moon and the Star.The eagle is a creature that is used to depict victory thus it  represents the fearless and victorious man that will always find its prey regardless in all conditions,harsh or favourable as much as the all sources of Gods light (enlightenment) covers him.

CARRY A MESSAGE TO GARCIA

Sometimes i wake up with a million worries swarming in my head like angry bees,it get so disturbing that i find it hard to concentrate on anything.These worries are born out of every man's greatest fear, which is the fear of failure. Questions like what?,when?,who?,where ?,how? keeps on falling on different parts of speech,all born of my apparent feeling of insecurity. Everything around me seems not to be in my favor and i could go on blaming my problems and anything ranging from my challenging background to the bad economic situation,family problems,terrible infrastructure,non-functional system ,this,that,those,them and adopt just about any form of defense mechanism to shy away from reality.

People like to give excuses for their problems,i have been a victim of that myself several times and the shame of it is that the problems persist, they never really go away afterwards.I took pains to introspect on myself with respect to the realities that surrounds me and I saw that if you truly pursue an ambition you need to have the right mental attitude towards achieving your goal.Like a quote from Thomas Jefferson  "Noting can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal,noting on earth can help the man with wrong mental attitude". hmm...He said "NOTING ON EARTH CAN HELP THE MAN WITH THE WRONG MENTAL ATTITUDE", Forget, Case closed. In other words ,moving  forward requires one to stop basking in the waters of giving excuses and look within oneself as a move towards self reliance.

 In my bid to find practical solutions to my fears i swam into a very interesting expression that says "Carry a message to Garcia which means ; to accomplish one’s assigned task in an independent, resourceful, self-sufficient manner; to do one’s job without making a fuss. This Americanism alludes to Elbert Hubbard’s article “A Message to Garcia,” written during the Spanish-American War. The piece addressed itself to the inability of most people to act without quibbling and procrastinating, citing Major Andrew S. Rowan of the U.S. Army as an exemplary model for his behavior in carrying out the order to find and deliver a message to the Cuban General Garcia. The expression was popular in the early part of this century but is now less frequently heard.

Now when insecurity lurks around the corner or when a setback is encountered ,it is better not to capitalize on the odds but to look at the chances regardless of how bleak it might look for it takes just a sparkle of light to crack any depth of darkness.I would suggest that people start looking within themselves as to having the right mental attitude towards dealing with their problems.I believe if you are a lazy man in Lagos ,you will as well be a lazy man in New york and will never live the dreams of your village talk-less of the American Dream.

I am not a pastor or a motivational speaker or any kind of  authorized advocate for moral teachings and all,i am just saying that it will be of a great help  individually and collectively to first of all ask ourselves questions like "What have i done for myself today?...My answer to that is that i have reminded myself that i cant fail and i need to get out of here now and face today's problems squarely , rectangular, triangularly,circularly  physically, spiritually and in all realities as the case may be.
